He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Barrineau and Ruby Rowell Barrineau; his cousin Stacy Stroud; his children, Courtney Barrineau, Erica Jacobs, Karrah Barrineau, Luther Barrineau and Ethen Barrineau; the mother of his children Kristin Lane; and his sisters, Kimberly Edwards (Norman) of Marion, Karen Barrineau of Mullins and Jaime Barrineau of Mullins. He was also cherished by nine nieces and nephews; and three great nieces and nephews.
