He is survived by: his wife Georgette Williams; his sister Hazel Tean Vaughn; his children, Gladys Moore (Avery) of Dillon, SC and John Enoch; his siblings, Richard Vaughn (Mary) of Somerset, NJ, Roselinda Singletary (Anthony) of Marion, SC, Cathy Jo Vaughn, Gerald "Jerry" Vaughn of Mullins, SC, Mary Ellen Thompson (Charles) and Edla Jean Vaughn of Lusbee, MD; his aunts, Madge Bristow and Katherlene Reaves of Mullins, SC; and his uncle Jesse Reaves of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by 3 sisters in law and 3 brothers in law, other relatives and friends.
After years of fighting a fierce battle with Parkinson's Disease, God whispered to him that it was time to end the battle and "come on home." John went to the public schools of Mullins, graduating from Mullins High School in 1978.
