He was predeceased by: his parent Bettie Reaves; his wife Essie Reaves; his stepson Donald Ray Cooper; and his siblings, Annie Mae Caldwell, Vonel S. Walker, Luester Fenwick, Carroll Lee Staley and Teroney Reaves.
He is survived by: his son David Reaves (Teresa) of Mullins, SC; his grandson Joshua Reaves; his great grandchildren, Makaylee Reaves, Quamir Reaves and Zymir Reaves; and his siblings, Elizabeth Austin of Atlantic City, NJ, Brenda McFadden of Sicklerville, NJ, Mae Helen Reaves of Mullins, SC and Eugene O. Reaves (Janice) of Mullins, SC. He is also survived by 7 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eloise Troy Chapel (247 NE Front St, Mullins, SC 29574). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
