Harry Edward Cribb Obituary
Mr. Harry Edward Cribb, 79, widower of Zelda Dixon Cribb, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at MUSC Health Marion Medical Center.
Mr. Cribb was born in Horry County, South Carolina on May 19, 1942, a son to the late William Warren Cribb and the late Bertha Ida Cribb Cribb. Mr. Cribb was a US Army veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Cribb had retired from Tyler Equipment as a tractor mechanic. Mr. Cribb was known as a craftsman who loved to build things. He also loved gardening and taking care of his chickens.
Surviving Mr. Cribb are his daughter, Susan Penny (Hans) Lang of Surfside Beach; his son, Jeff Warren Cribb of Conway; his grandchildren: Susan Michelle Cribb of Conway, Kasey Lyn Melone of Galivants Ferry, and Charles Henry Melone, III of Charleston; his stepchildren: Cathy Wilson of Ashland, VA and David Ervin Liggon of Richmond, VA; numerous nieces and nephews, his beloved chickens and cats; and his daughter's puppy, Tornado Lane.
Mr. Cribb is predeceased by his siblings: Mitchell Cribb, Grady Cribb, Velma Barnhill, Geneva Miller, Virginia Tyler, Ann Council, Mary Ellen Richardson, Elnita Pridgen, Margaret Cooper, and his infant twin brother Minnie Eskridge Cribb.
A graveside service for Mr. Cribb will be held Thursday, April 14 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Finklea, with Rev. Glenn Lane officiating. The family will receive friends following the service there at the cemetery.
