He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Santos Betancourt and Monserrate Matos Betancourt; his sons, Gregory Betancourt of Bryson City and Thomas Betancourt (Nicole) of Mullins; his grandchildren, Bailynn Betancourt, Brittany Viviani, William Betancourt, Thomas Betancourt, Jr., Brooklyn Betancourt, Gregory Betancourt, Jr. and Seth Betancourt; and his sister Isabel White (Jerry) of Florida. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
