He was predeceased by: his parents, French McKinley Smith, Sr. and Blanche Turner Smith; and his sister Jean Smith Dorn. He is survived by: his son Kinn; his wife Janice Gerrald Smith of Mullins; his daughter Elana Janice Smith of Mt. Pleasant; and his grandchildren, French McKinley Smith, IV and Richard Alley Smith.
