He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Telford and Myrtle Teague Smith; his stepmother Sudie Morris Smith; his brothers, Bill (Ethel Smith), Maurice Smith, Merle (Wilma Smith) and Charles Smith; and also Iris Smith.
He is survived by: his brother Carroll Smith of Laurens; and his sister-in-law Lucille Smith of Laurens. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
