She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Wesley "Dub" James of Mountain Rest; her parents, Calup Justus and Inez Wilson Justus; her siblings, Coleman Justice, Hershel Justus, Rosco Justus, Harry Justus, Florina Melton, Raynell Turner, Leaomia Burrell and Patricia Justus; and her son Dale James.
She is survived by: her son Douglas James; her granddaughters, Christen Stewart (Jeff) and Hollie Lester (Charles); her great grandchildren, Caleb Stewart, Andrew Stewart (Emily), Victoria Lester and Brendan Lester; and her siblings, Claybon Justus, Dennis Justus, Eva Lena Keith, Kathy Land and Marsha Lee.
