He was predeceased by: his parents, Saramae Venable Gipe and Julius Fletcher Gipe. He is survived by: his wife Marty Gipe; his children, Krysten Hariri (Perry), Sarah Gipe Yandle (Jeff), Scott Connell (Heather) and Billy Connell (Ashley); and his brother Tomm Gipe (Melinda). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.
