It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosa Jane Risher Hilton of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Claude Risher and Annie Mizzell Risher; her son Hiram Exo Hilton, Jr.; her sister Josephine Singletary; her former husband Hiram Exo Hilton; and her close friend Fred Aldridge.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Marie Hilton Russell of Mt. Pleasant and Kim Eric Hilton (Paige) of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren, Kyle Burke Russell (Walker), Kimberly Shay Patterson (Scott), Jane Kittrell Hilton and Lucy Risher Hilton; her great grandchildren, Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Walker of Mt. Pleasant, Burke of Mt. Pleasant, Shep Russell of Mt. Pleasant, Harbor Simpson of Mt. Pleasant and Hartley Rose Patterson of Mt. Pleasant; and her siblings, Miriam Singletary, Laura Cross, Roger Risher (Carol) and Derrell Risher (Jenny).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sandridge Baptist Church Cemetery (4677 State Rd, Ridgeville, SC 29472).
