He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Elizabeth Reese Ervin; his brother Richard Ervin; and his parents, Ralph William Ervin, Jr. and Ann Kindig Ervin. He is survived by: his wife Nancy McDonald Ervin; his child Brook Ervin Sawyer of Coopersburg, PA; his grandchildren, Cade and Haley; his child Tucker Ervin (Ann E.) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his grandchild Beckett; his son Tanner Ervin (Ashlie) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Reese and Miles; his daughter Elizabeth Ervin of Mt. Pleasant; his grandson Elliot; his family Ralph; his stepdaughter Megan Uram Plauche (Michael) of New Orleans, LA; his stepgranddaughter Iva Mac; his stepson Alan Uram (Meghan) of Charleston, SC; his stepgrandchildren, Caroline, Grady and Oliver; his stepdaughter Elizabeth Foster (Kile) of Bay St; his stepgrandchildren, Elliot, Wade and Letty; his siblings, Peter Ervin (Lorraine) of Abington, PA and Suzanne Ervin Smith of North Wildwood, NJ; and his brother-in-law David Reese.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Bulls Bay Golf Club (995 Bulls Bay Blvd, Awendaw, SC 29429). The military honors was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 5:15 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
