With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Ann Watts Althen of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, born in Tabor City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 23, 2024 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Dow Watts and Edith Sole Watts; her husband Gerald David Althen; and her siblings, Bill Watts, Ted Watts, Dale Watts, Don Watts, Ned Watts, Ronald Watts, Virginia Long, Betty June Ward and Peggy Currie.
She is survived by: her children, Howard David Althen (Sarah) and Sandra Althen Patrick (Dennis); her grandchildren, Jackson Althen, William Althen, Paul-David Patrick, Eleanor Patrick, Brooks Bennett and Cailyn Bennett; and her sister Doris Granger. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and even some great nieces and nephews.
