He was predeceased by: his father Michael J. Burkett Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary Holmes Burkett; his sister Laine Burkett Carter (Lance); and his nieces and nephews, Morgan Carter White (Sean), Ian Carter (Brandy Craven) and Cheryll Carter.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., mount Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A wake was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant (1400 Liberty Midtown Dr, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
