He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Edward Shuman Sr. and Margaret Moore Shuman; and his sister Lynn Baker. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughters, Michelle Austin (Jerry) of Rockingham, NC and Sandy Shuman of Greenwood, SC; his grandchildren, Jerry Austin III, William Austin and Marlee Austin of Rockingham, NC.; and his siblings, Peggy Hughes (Jim) of Georgetown, SC, Sally Sherman (Mike) of Leesville, SC, Becky Pennington (Elliott), Kate Shuman of Columbia, SC, Dina Walker (Cary), Maria Hudson (Mark) and Hal Shuman (Emma). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A reception was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel (1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
