As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Harriott Pinckney may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Martin Means and Mary Battle Parsons Means; and her sisters, Hutson and Sarah Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Harriott, Arley, Elizabeth and Martin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the St. Michael's Church (71 Broad St, Charleston, SC 29401). A burial was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the St. Michael's Churchyard (71 Broad St, Charleston, SC 29401).
