With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Mitchell Sikes (Mount Croghan, South Carolina), born in Chesterfield, South Carolina, who passed away on September 3, 2024 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Sikes and Viola Williams Sikes; and his sisters, Carol Weaver, Frances Hudson and Sara Snipes.
He is survived by: his sons, Jamie M. Sikes (Amanda) of Pageland, SC and Scottie Collins of Rockingham, NC; his siblings, Leroy Sikes (Jean) of Mt. Croghan, SC, Jimmy Sikes of Chesterfield, SC, Bobby Sikes (Sheila) of Mt. Croghan, SC and Donnie Sikes (Vicky) of Ruby, SC; and his close friend Lisa Short of Mt. Croghan, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
