He is survived by: his wife Alice Muriel Davis Thomas; his children, Derrick Sherman Thomas (Jeanne) of Moore, SC and Kim Nix (Wallace) of Campobello, SC; his grandchildren, Jordan Justin, Kelly and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Lucas and Rachel.
