He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bill, Jack and Bob Gleason; his son Patrick Gleason; and his stepson Randy Hill.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Casten Gleason of Simpsonville, SC; his children, Barbara Gleason Tripp of St. Charles, IL, Timothy Gleason of Oregon, IL and Paul Gleason (Ruth) of Crystal Lake, IL; his daughter-in-law Becky Dupont Gleason of Springboro, OH; and his stepdaughter Ronica Van Gelder (Tim) of Knightdale, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
