He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brooks of Washington and Essie Cartee Brooks; his son James Gregory Brooks; and his siblings, Georgia Buchanan, Mary DeGrandis, Carol Horton, Willie Mae Jennings, Elizabeth Garrett, Dorothy McGaha and Louie Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Jane White Brooks; and his daughter Donna Kaye Brooks of Moore.
