He is survived by: his wife Barbara Pingel France; his children, Johnny Franklin France of Boiling Springs and Elizabeth Cartee (Randall) of Winston-Salem; his stepchildren, Sarah Keels (Josh) of Duncan, Sheila Pliner of Iowa and Jeremiah Rossmanith (Erin) of Iowa; and his brothers, Carlton S. France of Simpsonville and James J. France of Cross.
