He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Thomas and Sarah Ouzts Thomas; his daughter Robin Elizabeth Thomas Grubb; and his siblings, Fred Thomas, Ollie Thomas and Zella Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Thomas; his son Gerald Thomas (Marlene Thomas) of Winston Salem, NC; his brothers, Wiley Thomas (Claudette) of Rincon, GA and Rodney Thomas; and his granddaughter Sarah Grubb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
