He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Humphreys Mason (Sandra Humphreys Mason); his parents, Charlie Odell Mason and Nora Cox Mason; his siblings, Frank Mason and Mildred Mason Byars; and his grandson Christopher Adam Cothran.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Mason (Melodie) and Jennifer Cothran (Kyle); his grandchildren, Lyndsie Mason, Mackenzie Cothran, Mason Cothran and Noah Cothran; his great grandchild Waverlie Mason of Spartanburg; and his sister Cindy Mason Gregg (David) of Moore. He is also survived by daughters and grandchildren; among many other family members.
