He was predeceased by: his parent Albert Alverson. He is survived by: his parent Louella Alverson; his wife Marsha Alverson; his sons, David K. Alverson of Chapin, SC and Steven Mark Alverson (Jennie); his grandchildren, Naomie Alverson of Omaha, NE and Imogen Alverson of Omaha, NE; and his siblings, Vickie Tillotson of Roebuck, SC, Cathy Mullinax (Ray) of Pacolet, SC and Eric Alverson of Roebuck, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post 193, 102 Lexington Ave., Chapin, SC 29036.
