He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Hoops and Cindy Hoops; his uncle Mike Clausen (Stacy); his aunts, Pam Meyer (Mike), Lori Peachy (Craig) and Linda Gribben (Tom); his sisters, Maggie and Mindy Hoops; and his grandparents, Donald and Lucille Clausen.
He is survived by: his children, Brett, Jacob and Alayna; the mother of his children Melissa Hoops; his siblings, Christy Hoops and Douglass Hoops (Erin); his niece Maddison Hoops; and his cousins, Dan Clausen, Heather Dilkhush (Rohin), Jessica Meyer, Luke Meyer (Beth), Craigie Peachy, Billie Loehr (Kyle) and Tony Gribben (Becky).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in David's name for his children.
