He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Butler and Nelle Workman Butler; his daughter Nancy Butler; his granddaughter Samantha Hartley; and his great grandchild Addilyn Grace Bazzle.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Quattlebaum Butler; his children, Tanya Butts (Halleck), Terry Butler, Wendy Hartley (Buster) and Rhonda Eldridge (Doug); and his sister Marsha Yonce. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
