He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Britt Crolley Rose. He is survived by: his father William E. Whitley; his stepmother Margaret Whitley of Hanahan; his son William Bart Whitley, Jr.; his grandsons, Riley William Whitley and Cameron Monroe Whitley; and his sister Cynthia Whitley of Belmont, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
