She was predeceased by: her mother Sally Seeger Whitmire; her husband William Rhett Godfrey; and her children, Amanda Kaye Godfrey and Joshua William Godfrey. She is survived by: her father Thomas Whitmire; her sister Cindy Allison (David); and her sister-in-law Joyce Finley (Richard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
