He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Thomas Summer and Evelyn Christine Summer (Mills); and his sister Susan Gay (Summer). He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Dwayne Allan Summer (Michele) of North Charleston, Shannon Christine Summer of Irmo and Amanda Summer of Moncks Corner; his grandchildren, Devin Summer, Lorelei Summer, Marlee Shock and Marshall Shock; and his brothers, Robert Mills Summer (Judy) of Lancaster and John Mayes Summer of Florence.
