She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Middleton Hood and Minnie Floyd Hood; her husband Bobby G. Forte; her sons, Wayne and Gene Middleton Forte; and her son-in-law Madison.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Forte-Ford of Moncks Corner and David Edward Forte of Oxford, N. C.; her sister Barbara Hood Oliver; her daughters-in-law, June Brown Forte and Cindy Brown Forte; and her grandchildren, Sean Forte (Jaime), Brandee Forte Gibson (Carl), Jennifer Forte, Mallory Forte Nickerson, Troy Forte (Jessica), Amy Forte, Josh Forte (Christy), Ryan Ford (Hannah), Amber Ford Neville (Peter) and Dewey Ford (Lael). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Chapel (107 W Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Hoods Chapel Cemetery (1120 Mail Rte Rd, Bonneau, SC 29431).
