With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth D. Shaw Joyner of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her husband Peter Joyner, Jr.; her children, Sherri Levy (Jason) and Tyrone Joyner (Stacey); her mother Joan Carter; and her grandchildren, Raquan Brown (Alasia) and Tenia Aiken. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gethers Funeral Home, Inc. (200 Grace St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bethlehem Reformed Episcopal Church (1731 Old Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Bethlehem Reformed Episcopal Church Cemetery (1731 Old Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
