She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Varner and Martha Burbage Varner; and her husband Esteban Arao "Steve" Calimag. She is survived by: her siblings, Minnie Clark, Lillie Ferrer Weik, Victoria Ricafrente, Ida Sarine, Grace Bugauison, Pearl Rochay, Samuel Varner, Leon Varner, William Varner and Lewis Varner; and her children, Arlinda Eldridge of Goose Creek, Narcisa Romberger (Bill) of Hilton Head, Dr. Marie Kelly (Joe) of Hendersonville, TN, Priscilla Browder (Barney) of Summerville, Pamela Felber (Dietmar) of Cincinnati, OH, Esteban Arao "Steve" Calimag, Jr. (Gaylia) of Eutawville and Augustin Calimag of Moncks Corner. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Calimag enjoyed many years socializing at the Ark in Summerville where respite care was provided for families living with Alzheimer's and related dementia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in her memory to Thearkofsc.org, PO Box 1540, Summerville, SC 29484.
