He was predeceased by: his parents, Lerline F. Summers, Sr. and Ollie Summers, Jr.; and his brother Willie. He is survived by: his brother Edward; his wife Dorothy Summers; his children, Tiffany Summers of Moncks Corner, SC, LaShawn Summers (Katuri) of Moncks Corner, SC and Kenneth Sanders (Leatha) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Kendrick Summers, Desha Summers, Makhi Summers, Jontaysia Robinson, Courtney Ladson and Zykenya Stanley; his great grandchild Ava; and his sisters, Deloris Ryant (Leroy) of Bamberg, SC and Edna Summers Bell (Lewis) of Bamberg, SC. He is also survived by mother-in-law; sisters and brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
