He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Patrick McCarthy and Margaret Evelyn Herndon McCarthy; his son Robert Aldrich; his sister Marlene Hanjes; and his brother-in-law Ken Hanjes.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; and his children, Thomas B. Aldrich (Momi) of Moncks Corner, SC, Dr. William C. Aldrich (Lisa) of Sumter, SC and Victoria Hood of Macedonia, SC.. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel (2180 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Live Oak Memorial (3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414).
