We are sad to announce that on June 16, 2022, at the age of 79, Michael Orvin Desmond of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his parents, Frank Desmond and Ruby Desmond; and his sister Mary Smith. He is survived by: his sisters, Carol Desmond (Rose) and Elizabeth Desmond; his children, Bonnie Schattle (Michael), Kevin Desmond (Michelle), Michael Desmond (Jennifer), Patrick Desmond and Sharon Carter (Brent); his grandchildren, Lauren Dye (Ronnie), Megan Rose (Donathan), Joseph Desmond (Abigale), Erin Gunther (Matthew), Sarah Flake (William), Ashley LaBounty (Austin), Matthew Desmond (Skylar), Justin Carter and Mason Desmond; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Jaxon, Aspen, Natalee, Bryson, Emma, Aiden, Tripp and Billy.
In lieu of flowers, a donation on behalf of Michael can be made to the American Cancer Society or the University of South Carolina Gamecocks athletics.
