He is survived by: his parents, Odell Strickland and Ruby Rebecca Phipps Strickland; his daughters, Angelia D. Strickland and Patricia D. Strickland Manik; and his stepdaughter Jessica Lynn Strickland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren;and many beloved nieces and nephews.
