He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lanier; his mother Lillie M. Lanier; his sons, Leonard Lanier, Jr., Terrance Lanier and Maurice Lanier; his grandson Joshua A. Howard; and his sister Karen Lanier-Grant (Clifford). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gethers Funeral Home, Inc. (200 Grace St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Day Dawn Baptist Church (2057 SC-45, Pineville, SC 29468). A reception was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 221 Airport Dr, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Gourdine Cemetery.
