With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnie James Savage (Moncks Corner, South Carolina), born in Bonneau, South Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2021 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Savage and Annie Rollerson Savage; his son Joe Savage; his siblings, Elease S. of Washington, Maydie Middleton, Annie Mae Wright, Robert Savage and Freddie Savage (Henry Dean Savage); and his grandson Preston Savage.

He is survived by: his children, Joan Gambrell of South Carolina, John Henry Savage (Eileen) of South Carolina, Rickie Alfonzo Benjamin Savage of South Carolina, Sylvia Croker (Pastor Alexander) of New York, Marilyn Elizabeth Wilson of South Carolina, Gwendolyn Rhoss of New York, Debra Savage of New York, Craig Savage (Pamela Hinnant) of New York, Tracy Savage (Faye) of Virginia and Trevor Savage (Anna) of South Carolina; and his siblings, Herbert Savage and Dorothy Winns. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
