He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph H. Spell and Matilda Westbury Spell; his sons, Joseph T. Spell, Jr. (Debbie) of Pimlico and Thomas L. Spell (Molly) of Hanahan; and his granddaughters, Margaret F. Spell of Hanahan and Olivia C. Spell of Hanahan.
