He was predeceased by: his parents, Gib Johnson and Ola Forbes Johnson; his stepdaughter Denise Minney; his granddaughter Taylor Johnson; his sister Bertha; his brother-in-law Bernett Duncan; and his brothers, Delton Johnson, Henry Johnson and Bruce (Johnson).
He is survived by: his son Jimmy Derek Johnson (Shannon) of Cordesville; his stepchildren, Bob Minney (Janet), Wade Minney, Carolyn Hall (Don), Tonawanda and Lisa Miller of Columbia; his siblings, Linda Altman (Sputnek) of Georgetown, Delbert "Dinky" Johnson (Lisa) of Andrews and Leon Johnson of Georgetown; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Johnson of Andrews and Marilyn Johnson of Andrews; and his granddaughter Madison Paige Johnson of Moncks Corner. He is also survived by many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
