He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rev. Octavius A. Gethers Jr., Francis Wright, David A. Gethers and Ethel G. Davis. He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph James Gethers (Flora) and Alma G. Brown; and his sisters-in-law, Carrie Wright, Evelyn L. Gethers and Mattie A. Gethers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving caregivers, along with dear family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Carmel A. M. E. Church (1059 Old Black Oak Rd, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at the Mt. Carmel A. M. E. Church Cemetery (1059 Old Black Oak Rd, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
