He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas J. Hanna and Carolyn Daniels Hanna; his grandson Nicholas A. Hanna; his brothers, Allen and Levan Hanna; his wife Rose Marie Dean Hanna; his daughters, Alisha M. Hanna (Alex) and Amanda L. Hanna of Moncks Corner; his sisters, Lois Joye of Johnsonville and Melinda Williams of Johnsonville; and his grandson Dawson M. Datre of Moncks Corner. He was also cherished by his family, friends.
