He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William E. Dean and Edith Genevieve Gay Dean; his son Terry Lee Dean; his brothers, Randy Dean and Michael Dean; his children, Melissa R. Dean (Connie) of Ladson and Nolan Dean (Carmen) of Jamestown; his brothers, Edward Dean of Moncks Corner, Danny Dean of Moncks Corner and Dwayne Dean of Russellville; and his grandchildren, Kelsie Dean, Keylie Dean, Kortlyn Dean, Kaysen Dean and Cadence Dean.
