She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Simmons and Julia Simmons. She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline Simmons of Moncks Corner, SC and Sharon Burgess (Gordon R. Burgess III); her grandchildren, Justin Simmons of Brooklyn, NY, Izrae (Burgess) of North Charleston, SC., Alexis Burgess of North Charleston, SC., Joe (Burgess) of North Charleston, SC. and Faith Burgess of North Charleston, SC.; and her siblings, Corine Chavis, Rev. Thelma Perkins (Deacon John Perkins), Peter Simmons Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC and Elijah Simmons of Moncks Corner, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
