He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kathleen Van Meter (Bryan) and Frank Dengg; his stepfather Edward Lee Van Meter; his aunt Florence Smith; and his great grandchild Dozier (Nevaeh).
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Dohrman Dengg; and his daughters, Shari Whittle (Jim) of Douglasville, GA, Suzy Gately (Tim) of Huger, SC, Sandi Reeves (Andy) of Goose Creek, SC and Stacy Florence (David) of Isle. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
