He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Fenton Carter and Macie Floy Whitworth Carter; his son Tony Carter; and his brothers, Maurice, Winfred and Frank Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Loma Watkins Carter; his children, Kathy Helton (George) of Rutherfordton, NC, Gary Carter (Priscilla) of Moncks Corner and Billy Carter (Susan Litchfield) of Moncks Corner; his siblings, Shirley Price of Westminster and Harold Carter (Brenda) of Westminster; and his sister-in-law Jean Carter of Westminster. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (112 E Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Berkeley Memorial Gardens (635 SC-6, Moncks Corner, SC 29461).
