It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Gene Rush of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughters, Destiny and Maya Rush; his siblings, Jerry Aldrick Rush, Wanda M. Rush, Barbara Darlene Mathis, Franklin Simmons (Erica), Calvin Simmons (Natasha), Wanda Simmons (Carlos Powell) and Tyrone Marion; his aunts and uncles, Shirley Elliot, Leon Simmons, Fernwell Simmons (Ferndina), Mary Ford (Avonne), Octhetis Clouden (Anthony), Alma Liferidge, James H. Curry (Vanessa), E. Gail Addison (Jasper), Leon "Tony" Curry and Ralph Curry (Andrea); his nieces and nephews, Tenesha Bradford, Shatina Bradford, Courtney J.
