With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Murray (McCormick, South Carolina), born in Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2020 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Willie Eberhardt and Willie Mae McHerrin Eberhardt; her sons, Gregory Crosby, Harvey Murray, Jr. and Curry Murray; her sisters, Carrie Johnson and Sarah Eberhardt; her grandson Eric McCants; her son-in-law Tony Childs; and her former husband Willie B. Crosby.
She is survived by: her husband Harvey Lee Murray; her children, Theresa Crosby Childs of Greenwood, SC, Reverend, Linda Tucker (Billy) of McCormick, SC, Ricky B. Crosby (Stephanie) of Aldie, VA and Jerome Perrin of McCormick, SC; her sister Agnes McLaughlin of McCormick, SC; her aunts, Mae Ossie Cobb of Abbeville, SC, Ruth Belcher (Ulysses) of Abbeville, SC, Melvina McHerrin of Ottsville, PA and Minnie McHerrin of Jamaica, NY; and her daughters-in-law, Rev. Carolyn Murray of Calhoun Falls, SC and Janice Crosby of Columbia, SC. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
