She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gilliard and Drucilla A'Dolphus Gilliard; her husband Edward Van Turner; and her sisters, Agnes Gloria Brooks and Julia Frances Tatum.
She is survived by: her niece Minnie Gilliard Johnson; her uncle John; her aunt Esther Glover; and her stepdaughter Rosalee Conway of Las Vegas. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and friends.
