She was predeceased by: her spouse Archie J. Lewis, Jr.; her parents, Lena Montague Huckabee and Hugh Meadors Schumpert; and her siblings, Hugh J. Schumpert, J. Marion Schumpert, Welbourne M. Schumpert, Sara S. Gantt and Kathryne S. Percival.

She is survived by: her sons, A. Jefferson Lewis, III (Karen), Benjamin M. Lewis (Barbara) and J. Preston Lewis (Beth); and her grandchildren, Andrew P. Lewis, Frances E. Lewis and Cole B. Lewis.
