He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Bailey Lagroon (Dottie); his brother George Larry Lagroon; and his grandchildren, Lorie Lagroon and Katelyne Graham (Bryan). He is survived by: his brother Ansel Lagroon (Jean); his sons, Kenneth Edward (Sandy), William Larry (Teresa), Philip Allen, James David (Deloris) and Robert Jay; his daughter-in-law Rebecca "Becky" Lagroon Heard; his grandchildren, Alaina, Lianna Alborg (Brandon), Lacie Lagroon, Leslie Lagroon, Robby Neal (Carrie), Brandy Snyder (Michael Brennan), Brandon Snyder (Amy), Amanda Murphy (Randy), Nicholas Snyder (Jodie), Vertoria Anderson, Jestina (Jay) of Washington, Zariya Lagroon, Daniel Lagroon and Becca Lagroon; and his great grandchildren, Liam Steading, Michael Steading, Gary Alborg, Olivia Willcox, Sarina Willcox, Molly Neal, Jack Neal, Banks Neal, Anderson Snyder, Grayson Snyder, Aubree Snyder, Knoxton Snyder, Jessica Murphy, Braxton Murphy, Kyra Murphy, Karis Murphy, Hannah Murphy, Ava Snyder, Ankoma Anderson (KJ), Kirsten Anderson and Parker Jaye of Washington.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions in memory of Billy Lagroon be made to the Republican United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 689 McCormick, SC 29835 to aid in the creation of a Prayer Garden.
